If you haven't found the answers you need, please ask us right away.

We’ll do our best to give you a quick and complete answer to any questions you may have.

1. How do I sign up for the course?

It’s best to use the registration form on our website (link). You are also welcome to come by our office, or even to do it over the phone. The final reservation of your spot in a group takes place after the non-refundable down payment has been made – 500 PLN (same amount for all types of courses).

4. How old do I have to be to sign up for the course?

There are no age limits to learning Polish. Our youngest students were 3 years old :) We have a special program for youngsters to learn Polish through play.

7. At what time of day do the courses take place?

There are courses in the mornings and in the afternoons, as well as in the evenings.

The one month intensive courses (link) usually take place in the (late) mornings, and the trimester courses (link) – either in the morning or in the evening. Individual classes (link) – at the time suggested by the students.

10. How does Accent help with obtaining a visa?

The school issues a letter to the embassy, called an Admission Letter, which certifies that you have signed up for the course. It contains information about the course chosen, the dates of the course, the level, the number of classes per week, and the amount that has already been paid – usually the required down payment of 500 PLN per each course. This Admission Letter usually helps to obtain a visa, however, it is not a guarantee. Do remember that the down payment is NON-REFUNDABLE.

2. What language is used in the classroom?

We use ONLY Polish in class – this is the best and quickest way to learn the language. Of course, in certain extreme cases some English or another language spoken by the students may be needed. Any organizational matters are discussed in English (at the office or with the teacher).

5. Do we need to buy a coursebook?

The coursebook is not included in the course price, because not every course requires a coursebook. Either way, you will get a lot of materials from your teacher.

8. For what levels do you organize the courses?

We have courses at all levels of advancement (A0 – C2 – link to descprition). Before you sign up, you will do a placement test: this will help us place you in the right group.

11. What countries do the students at Accent School of Polish come from?

Our school is open to students from all around the world. People from over 80 different countries have visited and worked with us!

3. What forms of payment are acceptable?

The easiest way to pay is online through our website (link).

You can also transfer money to our bank account (PLN, EUR, USD); it is also possible to pay at the school office, in cash or by a credit card.

6. What's the deadline for singing up for a course?

Don’t put it off until the last minute, because that’s when the interest in the courses peaks and often groups fill up very quickly. But if there are spots available in the group you want, it’s possible to sign up even on the day the course begins.

9. How to get to your school?

Accent School of Polish is located at 6 Kącik street (ul. Kącik 6), in the Podgórze district of Kraków. It’s right next to Plac Bohaterów Getta, on the way to Schindler’s Factory. The following trams will get you to Plac Bohaterów Getta: 3, 13, 17, 19, 24, and 69. Click here for a map

12. How do I pay for the course?

You can just pay here online.

Also, you can pay in cash or by a credit card at the office or through a bank transfer to our account (see below).

I learned Polish not so long ago and as a former student I still remember the vibe significance while studying. The Accent School of Polish is not only classrooms, textbooks and homework. It is a special place where you really want to spend your time. Accent’s Teachers and students have created a community of like-minded people who really love what they do. I never feel bored during my working day, and that’s thanks to people who come here.
